ABOUT ALCHEMI

Working primarily in the hospitality, tourism, and service industries, Alchemi Design is a brand and marketing company. Alchemi serves as the design agency that develops overall marketing plans through which brand design, social media, email campaigns, website design, brochures, and in-house marketing materials are created. We are a small and personal design firm who value positive and creative individuals.

ABOUT THE POSITION

As the Graphic Designer, you will:

  • Collaborate with the Principal Designer to brainstorm, develop, and create marketing and design campaigns for print, digital, social media, email design, web, and more
  • Manage client brands and communicate directly with clients to gather materials, collaborate on projects, strategize marketing objectives, and more
  • Liaise with clients in the tourism and hospitality industry to develop high-end brochures, retrieve ad components, and create design projects with their current brand
  • Develop brand identity design for new and existing clients
  • Manage social media platforms and content creation including concept ideation, copywriting, social media strategy, and scheduling posts
  • Design, develop, and create content for websites using WordPress and Elementor
  • Regularly update client website plugins and themes and troubleshoot website errors

ABOUT YOU

Our ideal candidate would have a:

  • BA in Graphic Design, Studio Art, or the equivalent
  • Relevant portfolio samples, or a portfolio website
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator)
  • Knowledge of HTML , CSS and developing WordPress sites
  • Understanding and ability to package and prep files for print
  • Strong copywriting skills for social media and website copy
  • Strong knowledge of social media marketing and strategy
  • Ability to manage projects, deadlines, and priorities independently
  • Flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude, creative eye, and proactive mindset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with clients
  • Applicant needs to live in the state of Maryland
