Meagan Connolly began oil painting in high school and continued her Arts Curriculum at University of Georgia, where she graduated in Advertising and won the Student Peabody Award for best Advertising Campaign for Hardees Food. She began her work for the Atlanta Market Center, and later moved back to the DC area where she became a Graphic Designer for the Smithsonian Institution. Continuing her oil painting she studied under Trinka Simon at the National Gallery of Art. She then moved from nonprofit to corporate sector and ran the Maryland design office of Chesapeake Wallcoverings. Meagan now balances a full workload with Alchemi while running after two energetic boys. Meagan still oil paints and enjoys dabbling in watercolors as well.
